Olivia Jade’s social media return reportedly a ‘big betrayal’ against mom

Olivia Jade reportedly went against Lori Loughlin’s wishes when she returned to social media last month.

The YouTube star posted her first video on the platform since the college admissions scandal with a two-minute re-introduction to her followers in November and followed it up with a headline-making Instagram post consisting of two photos of herself wearing a tank top in bed.

“Obviously I’ve been gone for a really long time and as much as I wish I could talk about all this, it’s really hard for me to say this just because I know that it’s something that needs to be addressed…” she said in the clip. “It’s just unfortunately—which is also why I didn’t know exactly when I should come back to YouTube—the reason for that is just because I’m legally not allowed to speak on anything going on right now.”

While Jade is clearly eager to get back into the public eye since her parents were charged with using bribery to get her and her sister, Isabella Rose, into USC, Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, aren’t thrilled about her return.

“Lori was very clear in telling Olivia to remain quiet and not do anything controversial,” a source told Us Weekly, adding that Jade “had enough” of her silence and decided to act on it on her own.

“Olivia’s YouTube video was a big betrayal,” the insider explained. “And cracks in the family are starting to show.”

Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli are facing up to 40 years behind bars and are expected back in court early next year.
