Although she first became known for her iconic roles on the big screen, Gwyneth Paltrow has quickly risen to one of the most trusted authorities in the health and beauty space. And let’s face it, she literally has not aged a day since “Shakespeare in Love.”

Paltrow’s beauty experts are nothing new. In fact, ever since high school, the 47-year-old Goop founder has been leading the way with top skincare recommendations. In this month’s issue of Harper’s Bazaar, the magazine caught up with Paltrow’s ex-boyfriend from high school, Tony Woods, (the exes remain close friends today) to discuss the cover star.

“Gwyneth took me in 1993 to buy me my first bar of face soap, so I did get some of her ‘beauty guide’ before,” Woods shared. “It was the Clinique with the slide-out case. She took me to the Sangertown Mall in upstate New York, and she wouldn’t even let me pretend it was for her.”

“She’s an ongoing resource for physical and spiritual improvement,” he added.

The soap, which has been around for over three decades, has remained a classic staple amongst skincare fanatics. Not only is it 100 percent fragrance-free, it works to removes the stress of pollution to keep your skin looking refreshed and clean.

With a perfect-star rating on Nordstrom, Paltrow isn’t the only one who recommends this $15 face wash.

One Nordstrom reviewer wrote, “I’ve been using Clinique soap and a baby’s washcloth for more than 30 years and nothing tops it! I’ve tried them all, from drugstore to highest end lines, and in all forms, not to mention all of Clinique’s other cleansers – but I always come back to this because there is simply nothing better.”

Another said, “I’ve been using this product every day for over twenty years. It keeps my skin clean and healthy, and rinses clean. I love it.”
