French ski resort lets guests go on a trek with birds

If the thrill of skiing isn’t adventurous enough for you, hit the slopes with a giant bird of prey on your arm at this course.

The French ski resort of Morzine, part of the large Portes du Soleil ski area, gives guests the rare opportunity to handle snow owls, falcons and eagles as they descend a mountain.

All of the birds come from a nearby aviary and are part of a program the resort uses to raise awareness for bird conservation while keeping them in their natural habitats.

Visitors who aren’t interested in skiing can watch eagle, hawk and owl shows both indoors and outdoors throughout the day.
