Dessert decoration hacks to try at home:
- Use lace paper doilies as cookie stencils. Trim the doily to size and cover with powdered sugar.
- Chocolate bars can be used for fancy decorating too. Use a lighter to begin slightly melting one side of a chocolate bar, and then press the chocolate onto the plate into your desired patten.
- Repurpose cookie cutters into cake topper molds. Microwave chocolate candy melts for two minutes, stirring every 30 seconds. Place parchment paper on a baking sheet, and spread out the cookie cutters. Fill each one with the melted chocolate, add sprinkles and refrigerate to set.
- Use an apple corer as a dessert stencil. Sprinkle spirulina powder or powdered sugar to make a simple pattern on your plate.
