Grandpa builds rollercoaster for grandson in backyard

People are seriously going the extra mile to keep their kids entertained amid quarantine.

For proof of that, look no further than this “brilliant” grandpa who built his grandson a wooden rollercoaster in the backyard.

On May 21, Twitter user HUNNITBANDBRIA shared a video of the partially built rollercoaster, which now has more than 5.8 million views.

“It’s not done but they having the time of they lives,” she said.

Just a few days later on May 23, HUNNITBANDBRIA shared another video with an update that the rollercoaster was done.

In the video, her dad helps her son ride the homemade rollercoaster — and he seems to be having the time of his life.

Though Twitter users obviously can’t ride the rollercoaster themselves, they seem to be getting plenty of enjoyment out of watching videos of the homemade contraption.

“What in the Phineas and Ferb! This is brilliant,” one person said.

“I’ve watched this about 10 times already. LOVE,” another user added.

“What in the world LMAOOOOO,” a third person commented in disbelief.

In case you want to try to build your own backyard rollercoaster, HUNNITBANDBRIA shared that her dad used “PVC pipes, wood and screws.”

If you enjoyed this story, In The Know also covered a dad who built an entire “ski slope” in his backyard.
