Pro skimboarder pulls off complicated trick in the rain

Adrien Raza is a four-time European champion pro skimboarder. Skimboards are small watercrafts, designed like tiny boats, that utilize human power rather than an engine. Like boats, when they move across the water they displace it — so the more water, the slower the boards move. That’s why skimboarders like Raza prefer shallow water so they are able to swiftly skid across it.

Raza, who’s known for precision and consistency, posts clips of his stunts and tricks on TikTok.

In one video, Raza decided to take advantage of the rainy weather to practice some tricks at a park. He gains momentum by running on the grass and then he tosses his skimboard into a shallow water pit. He jumps on his board to propel himself forward and then leaps and spins the skimboard under his foot. Then he grinds on a small metal plank before perfectly landing.

In the comments section, Raza admitted he missed the rack and fell a bunch of times. Nevertheless, the impressive clip racked up over 6.4 million views

“Did he just run on water?” one TikTok user commented

“He was walking on water, it’s Jesus,” one person joked

“Did my mans just run on water,” another asked

Raza began skimboarding in France when his cousin took him to a local beach to try the sport. He placed first at the European Skimboarding Cup in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2019.
