Leave it to Kanye West to always keep us on our toes.

The music mogul — who reportedly reached billionaire status last year as a result of successful Yeezy sales — may apparently be dabbling into new territory: Beauty.

According to TMZ, West’s company has filed for a “Yeezy” trademark in the beauty and skincare category, which could, according to legal documents, cover “a plethora of beauty and skincare products.”

So what falls under the trademark? Well, the filing covers everything from “makeup, false eyelashes, facial masks, nail polish, moisturizers, bath gels, body oils, shaving cream” to even “hair care products and perfumes, along with some hygienic products like toothpaste and deodorant … and even scented pine cones and aromatherapy pillows.”

I don’t know about you, but a Yeezy-scented pine cone seems like something Kanye would do (and that people would buy).

This isn’t the first time Mr. West has tried to get his Yeezy’s wet in beauty. Back in 2017, a similar attempt was made to file involving the Donda (his mother) name.

West is also not the first (nor the last) celebrity to submit trademark filings in the beauty department. Back in 2019, his sister-in-law Kylie Jenner filed her skincare brand Kylie Skin, and also filed trademarks for a baby line, “Kylie Hair” and “Kylie Hair by Kylie Jenner.”

Lest we forget in 2019 when Rihanna secured a trademark for “Fenty Skin,” the skincare addition to the Fenty Beauty empire we’ve come to know and love.

Needless to say, it’ll be interesting to see what Yeezy products sprout up in the beauty aisles.
