TikTok is obsessed with this 19-year-old’s ‘snackable’ earrings

A teenager is going viral after sharing her part-snack, part-jewelry invention, which has TikTok users begging her for a way to buy them.

The 19-year-old, Mary Stofft, posted a video of her creation on July 5, and it’s not been viewed more than 750,000 times. In the clip, the TikTok user shows off her new “quirky” earrings.

Stofft’s handmade jewelry is unconventional, but the idea is simple. Basically, she purchased two tiny Tajín seasoning containers, then attached them to a pair of earrings.

The result, as Stofft puts it, makes for “snacks on the go” whenever she wants.

There seem to be a few small hang-ups with Stofft’s creation, including the fact that she spills seasoning everywhere when trying to dump it onto a strawberry. Overall though, TikTok users seemed more than impressed with the concept.

“YES THIS IS GENIUS,” one user wrote.

“I Need that in my life rn,” another wrote.

“Dude I would totally buy those no joke,” another added.

In a subsequent video, the teenager shared that her talents go far beyond making jewelry from beloved Mexican spices. She’s also made several earrings resembling cigarettes, Chapstick containers and Altoids tins.

Stofft also shared more details about her process, writing in the comments that she buys the small Tajín bottles at Walmart. She also addressed the fact that she was eating the seasoning on strawberries, a fruit some TikTokers seemed to think was a strange choice.

“As a Mexican myself, I am also confused as to why a strawberry. Mangos and pineapples are so much better, trust me,” one user wrote.

“I have an allergy to both of those,” Stofft replied. “I work with what I can eat.”
