Cast iron cookware pieces are widely considered must-haves for every kitchen. Backed by the philosophy that they can do it all — think searing, frying, baking and grilling — these kitchen tools are some of the most sought after among shoppers.
Although some home cooks would like to invest in a piece of their own, many opt-out due to the steep prices that are often attached to these products.
With Lodge being one of the leading manufacturers in cast iron cookware, it’s a go-to brand that many shoppers prefer when it comes to searching for cast iron pieces to buy.
Luckily, weeks after Lodge’s widely popular 10.25-inch cast iron skillet went on super sale, the company’s grill pan has also received a major slash in price, bringing down the total to just under $20.

This grill pan comes fully seasoned and is said to be “ready to use upon purchase.” Its product description also outlines that it’s safe to use on all cooking surfaces, including stoves, ovens, grills and even campfires. Highlighting its multi-use design, the description also states that it can be used to sauté, sear, fry, bake, stir fry and more.
Lodge is recognized for its sturdy and premium-grade cast iron cookware pieces and is lauded as one of the most-trusted and reliable cookware brands on the market. Founded in 1896 in South Pittsburg, Tennessee, the family brand even humblebrags that it makes “the best cookware on the planet.”
This sentiment seems to be echoed in customers’ glowing reviews of its products, with thousands particularly praising this cast iron grill pan.
“It’s like any other Lodge brand item, built like a tank!” the shopper wrote. “Love the design of this pan, being square, it maximizes your space on the cooktop. The ribbed bottom is perfect for searing meat, then finishing it off in the oven.”
Another satisfied reviewer echoed this sentiment, adding that it is “a must-add to your kitchen.”
“I think this is going to be my new favorite pan,” the same shopper continued. “The pan is heavy, but it’s cast iron — to be expected. This pan left perfect grill marks. I may end up using it more than my cast iron skillet!”
The only con shoppers seemed to express about this pan is that, like most cast iron cookware, it packs some weight and needs to be carefully cleaned.
“What am I supposed to do with my big Foreman grill?” one shopper asked. “No, seriously, the only cons apply to all cast iron pans: heavy, needs special care.”
