Celebrity tattoo artist Dr. Woo launches skincare for tattoo newbies

If you’ve ever wondered where the Biebers, Jenners and a plethora of other A-list celebs get their minimalist tattoos done, it’s probably Brian Woo. Well to clients, he’s known as Dr. Woo, and the tattoo icon just launched his new brand, Woo skincare, with a line of skincare essentials for the newly tatted.

Before tattooing the likes of Miley Cyrus and Drake, Woo initially wanted to start a clothing line. However, after being an apprentice for “the High Priest of Hollywood tattoo artists,” Mark Mahoney, Woo’s tattoo journey began (and flourished). Now, with A-list tattoo clients under his belt, many fans know him for his minimalist black and gray masterpieces. But Woo offers something new to the mix: Woo Skincare.

Getting tattooed is fun, but proper care is necessary to maintain healthy, tatted skin. Enter: Woo’s After Care Kit, which includes one of the bars from the Daily Gentle Soap Set, plus a moisturizer. The lineup also includes a gentle hand sanitizer and a face and body moisturizing sun shield SPF30, which is only available for preorder right now.

This two-step routine is not only made with clean ingredients, but it’s also environmentally-friendly. The kit comes with a moisturizer, which consists of shea butter, vitamin E, sesame seed oil and chamomile to soothe any irritation.

Also in the kit is one bar soap — which you can also shop as a set. The cleansing soap has a coconut oil base and lightly foams up to eliminate dead skin. Plus, it features glycerin to help keep the skin moisturized throughout the cleansing process.

In these times, hand sanitizer is a necessity, and Woo ups your handheld sanitation game with this $10 hand sanitizer. Free of parabens and
phthalates, and made cruelty-free in the U.S., the hand sanitizer is scented with a natural peppermint essence if other hand sanitizers are off-putting for you.

Made for all skin “inked or not,” the SPF 30 is set to ship out November 2020. However, you can grab it on preorder now. For both face and body usage, the SPF contains broad-spectrum protection with zinc oxide, along with shea butter and coconut for moisturizing the skin.
