Two best friends ‘Parent Trapped’ their parents — and put the whole thing on TikTok

It’s tough to find something more heartwarming than the 1998 version of “The Parent Trap.”

One thing that may beat it out? Seeing the plot happen in real life. That’s basically what happened when two best friends managed to set up their parents and detail the romantic story on TikTok.

The longtime pals, Catherine and Allison, told BuzzFeed that they often used to talk about their single parents and how they wanted them to find love.

One day, they got an idea: They’d solve both problems with one, simple plan.

“I think they had both been single for 10+ years,” Allison told BuzzFeed. “The more we talked about it, the more we realized they had a lot of very random things in common.”

So, they set up a “coincidental” encounter. Like any classic rom-com, the original plan fell through, but the pair still managed to meet. From there, Allison’s dad and Catherine’s mom met and hit it off — and the rest is history.

Allison shared the adorable story on her TikTok page, adding that the pair has now been together for two years.

“And of course, we’re one big happy family,” she says in her clip.

TikTok users seemed completely obsessed with the story, with Allison’s video earning more than 300,000 views.

“This is the sweetest story,” one user gushed.

“They were meant to be,” another wrote.

“This is the cutest thing ever. I believe in love again,” another added.
