If you have a long road trip in your future or simply like to have cold drinks at the ready no matter where you are, you may want to consider taking along a portable mini fridge.
I know what you’re thinking, and mini fridges generally aren’t all that mini, at least in terms of packing one away to take on a trip. However, the Uber Chill XL Personal Mini Fridge is super compact, weighing only eight pounds and measuring 13 inches wide and 14 inches tall. Yet, it still fits up to 12 cans or nine 500 ml bottles, although you can use it for keeping anything cool, like makeup, medicine or food.
In addition to cooling drinks at 40°–45°F, the mini fridge has a switch for keeping things warm up to 150°F.
The reason it’s especially great for taking in the car, however, is that it comes with a power cord for connecting to any vehicle through its power source/cigarette lighter. It also comes with a plug for a regular outlet though, should you want to use it elsewhere, like in a dorm, on a desk or anywhere else.
“This little fridge is perfect! It’s quiet (I have it in my upstairs bedroom) and keeps things very cold. It can also go along on trips with auto plug in. I couldn’t be happier with it!” wrote one reviewer on The Grommet.
The Uber Chill XL Personal Mini Fridge is sold for around $80 and can be found on The Grommet (a store that promotes small businesses) as well as Amazon, Wayfair and Walmart. However, it’s priced at its cheapest on The Grommet and available in multiple colors, including black, white, silver, red and navy blue.
