A TikTok user is dishing on the ‘worst’ things about working for Little Caesars

A former Little Caesars employee is going viral after sharing the alleged practices that made her “hate” working for the pizza chain.

The 19-year-old, who goes by the name Mariam on social media, shared her grievances on TikTok. Her clip has racked up 4.5 million views.

Mariam’s video features a list of alleged problems she faced while working for the chain. First, she claims she often didn’t get breaks during her shift — despite sometimes working for 14 hours in a row.

“You do not get breaks at all,” the TikToker claimed.

Another major issue for Mariam: waste. The teen claimed she threw out tons of fully prepared pizzas and breadstick orders.

In a follow-up video, the TikToker explained that they were not allowed to give the unused pizzas for free, as some commenters suggested. Instead, they were allegedly asked to rip off the tops of the boxes and throw the pizzas into the trash to “prevent dumpster diving.”

Mariam claimed that Little Caesars’ reason for this was to avoid lawsuits. She said the chain’s pizzas are considered “expired” after 30 minutes (a time limit based on the company’s “Hot-and-Ready” guarantee).

“If we give it to you [after 30 minutes] and you get sick, we can get in trouble for that,” the teen explained.

It’s worth noting that all of Mariam’s claims are alleged, although some TikTok users claiming to be former Little Caesars employees backed her up in the comments.

“I CAN VOUCH FOR THIS! I WORKED AT LITTLE CEASARS AND HATED IT SO MUCH!” one user wrote.

Others refuted the video, commenting that they didn’t experience any of the same issues.

“Ummm I worked at Little Caesars and at the night shift we’d throw out max like 2-3 pizzas … we don’t waste [food] unless someone comes in last minute,” another user wrote.

“I work at Little Caesars and I’ve never seen this much waste,” another added.
