Even though September is Hispanic Heritage Month, we celebrate the culture and legacy of the Latinx community all-year-round. Growing up, I didn’t see many Latinx influencers who looked like me or gained the same level of prominent commercial success as their white peers. Even though we still have a long way to go, we can admit that, today, things are changing.

Now, more than ever, we’re seeing more Latinx influencers take up space in the fashion and beauty space, creating a sense of community and much-needed diversity. From collaborations with major beauty companies to launches of individual fashion lines, Latinx representation is growing, and we are here for it.

Daisy Marquez, a prominent YouTuber and beauty content creator, admitted to  In The Know that she’s feeling the same way. “The best part of being in the entertainment industry with my Latino/a peers is the diversity and mix of cultures. We’re all one big family that supports and uplifts one another. We are a strong and unified community that embraces each other’s success and achievements.”

If you are looking to add some more fashion and beauty in your life, check out these influencers who serve face, lewks and serious inspiration.

1. Monica Veloz (MonicaStyleMuse)

Monica was probably one of the first Afro-Latinas I saw on YouTube, and I am beyond proud to see the career growth she’s experienced over the past few years. Through tutorials, candid conversations and a channel that specializes in bilingual content, Monica proves that there is no one “look” for the Latinx comunidad. She also makes me feel significantly less guilty about the fact I am a true Spanglish speaker.

2. Lora Arellano

Lora Arellano not only has the most enviable brows on the market, but she’s also the founder of Melt Cosmetics. The Mexican American makeup artist has an extensive client base, which includes Serena Williams and Bebe Rexha, to name a few.

3. Jillian Mercado

Jillian is an actress, model and activist, predominantly known as the founder of Black Disabled Creative and for advocating for representation for people with disabilities. Oh, and she’s just plain fabulous.

4. Desi Perkins

Desi Perkins is more than likely one of your first introductions into the lifestyle and beauty space. A former freelance makeup artist, Perkins turned to YouTube to show off her makeup skills and has since grown to be one of the most prominent makeup YouTubers around.

5. Mariale Marrero

Marialejandra, better known as Mariale for her followers, is a Venezuelan internet personality and social media influencer who shares her daily life, fashion and beauty looks with her 18 million-plus subscribers! One word: obsessed.

6. Manny Gutierrez (MannyMUA)

Manny is an OG makeup artist many of us know to be one of the first prominent examples of men in beauty. Whether it’s a polished brow, a bold lip, or a cool spin on a beauty collab, Manny does it all.

7. Jessica Torres

Jessica is a style blogger based in New York. Her eclectic flare will not only inspire you with great OOTDs, but will also make you want to push your own fashion boundaries. Oh, she’s also the founder of the “Fat Girls Club” podcast and regularly shines a spotlight on Black creatives.

8. Iris Beilin (Irishcel507)

Iris Beilin, known better as Irishcel507 on YouTube, has helped redefine what it means to “look” Latinx in beauty and fashion. The proud Panamanian not only serves up looks with her makeup but also keeps it very candid about life as a YouTuber and more.

9. Alba Ramos (SunKissAlba)

I’ve been following Alba on YouTube for years, and whether it’s her beautiful hair, radiant skin or stunning personality, she’s definitely a fave when it comes to health and wellness as they’re covered on YouTube.

10. Dulce Candy Tejada (DulceCandy)

One thing I love about Dulce is that many don’t know that the beauty influencer and content creator is also an Iraq War veteran. Dulce’s past, which she shares frequently on her YouTube channel, makes her so relatable to many Gen Z and millennial beauty fanatics.

11. Daisy Marquez

The L.A.-based 21-year-old beauty vlogger produces haul videos, makeup challenge videos and Q&As. Last year, she also posted an inspiring video on her undocumented status in the United States. At such a young age, Marquez has had quite an impact on her 1 million-plus YouTube subscribers and 1 million-plus Instagram followers.

12. Christen Dominique

Christen may be a high-profile influencer, but she’s also down-to-earth (I learned first-hand when I met her in 2019). She blogs/vlogs about her life as a mom and her journey as the founder of  Dominique Cosmetics, a line of highly pigmented eyeshadows and makeup products that are sure to steal your heart.
