TikTokers have reached an entirely new level of pandemic boredom and are now asking their followers, point-blank, if they are attracted to them.
Users have been uploading videos and photos of themselves all dressed up and posing the question, “Could I pull you?”
Roughly translated from what has become Gen Z slang, that means, “Would you date me based on looks alone?”
User alyssawoodrow’s video has become quite popular.
Her post proves that TikTok is basically Tinder, now — except that the comments are public.
“I think we all know the answer here,” one user wrote.
“Let’s find out,” another said.
Jayphysiq’s video offered the male perspective on the trend.
“Maybe. You’re handsome but how do you treat other people? How do you speak to your momma? Those are the things that determine if a guy can pull me,” one user commented.
“Unfortunately I’d let you break my heart,” another responded.
There are, of course, funny takes on this — as happens with any internet trend.
For instance, could k9_mattis pull you? Perhaps only literally pull, as he is a dog … but a strong one!
All in all, it’s a pretty harmless trend and a nice self-esteem boost. Who knows, maybe it could be the start of the next great viral love story.
