When it comes to keeping floors spick and span, I’m all about having one good product that can work double duty for both carpet and hard floors.

While Dyson’s cordless vacuum has become a cult-favorite pick on the internet, racking up hundreds of five-star reviews because of its powerful suction, the brand’s options are pricey, with the cheapest model starting at $250, and the most expensive version topping out at $600.

I love a well-cleaned floor, but I’m not ready to shell out that kind of cash when it comes to a cleaning essential for my apartment. Something that’ll get the job done just as well for a fraction of the price is the Tineco A10 Hero Cordless Stick vacuum, which is available on Amazon.

With a 350-watt digital motor, this vacuum works on both carpet and hard floors and has a max suction that’s four times stronger than the average cordless vacuum, according to its product description. And even though the vacuum has super strong power, the device is still quiet, so you won’t disrupt your neighbors when you have the urge to clean late at night.

Weighing in at a little under three pounds (2.87 pounds to be exact), it’s super lightweight, so you can use it for a long period of time for an uninterrupted clean, whether you need to carry it room-to-room or work floor-to-ceiling.

With two mode options, you can clean up a multitude of messes: Trigger mode allows you to quickly clean up small piles of debris by simultaneously pushing the trigger, and the continuous power mode is best for long-term cleaning while preventing your finger from tiring.

Plus, one of the best parts about this model is that you can easily convert the vacuum into a handheld vac that works well for hard-to-reach spots.

And to ensure all of your cleaning tasks are complete, this vacuum comes with a few extra attachments, including a high-torque power brush, a mini brush, a 2-in-1 dusting brush, a hair cleaning tool and a crevice tool that can all be organized with the included storage dock.

Shoppers consistently rave about this vacuum’s quality despite its low price.

“Having used a very expensive Dyson cordless vacuum that one of my friends owns, and comparing the two, I would have to say that this is a far superior build quality and engineered unit,” one reviewer said.

But there are a few cons to consider, including the battery not lasting long enough for some customers’ liking and that it can’t stand up on its own.

Because it’s cordless, you’ll have to remember that this vacuum’s battery won’t last forever, and it comes with a separate charging base to power up. While it has an estimated run time of 25 minutes, it will only last about 10 minutes if you’re using it at max power, which could be one of the main downsides if you’re needing to clean for longer with more suction.

“The battery almost lasts long enough to do the whole place but not quite, and the battery life is exorbitantly less on the higher power, which really must be used to get anything more than dust up,” another reviewer noted.

But with more than 1,000 five-star reviews, this vacuum is an Amazon Choice product, making it a great affordable alternative to its more expensive competitors.
