By the time you become an adult, you’d think acne was a thing of the past, right? Well, sadly, that’s not the case. Adult acne is a real thing that affects a lot of us. Clinical studies indicate that between 40 and 55 percent of the adult population age 20-40 have persistent acne and oily skin. Sigh.

Thankfully, there are acne-fighting products on the market that are ready to help you keep pesky breakouts and irritated skin at bay. One product that promises such a claim, with well over 11,000 reviews on Amazon alone, is the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion.

The best part? Now during Prime Day, if you are an Amazon Prime member, you get the $17 product for only $11.90! Not an Amazon Prime member? Sign up here.

Said to help diminish the appearance of surface blemishes, the award-winning solution targets whiteheads while you sleep. It contains active ingredients such as salicylic acid, sulfur and calamine.

Made to be applied at night, this product doesn’t require a heavy hand or an extensive routine to be effective. Simply dip a cotton swab in the solution and apply to your breakouts.. The next morning, you should notice a difference with those pesky pimples.

One customer pointed out that this is the only product that’s helped them fight blemishes. They wrote, “When I feel a blemish coming on, I dab it with this bottle of magic and it dramatically reduces how long it lasts and how big it gets. This is the only product I have ever used with this effectiveness, and I love it!”

This same reviewer, however, made sure to mention that products with potentially harsh ingredients in its formulation — like acids, retinoids, etc. — are likely to have mixed reviews. While some people swear by this product, it may be too drying for others, especially those with dry skin.

At the end of the day, this product may not work for everyone because everyone’s skincare needs are different. The best course of action is testing the product out on a small patch of skin to measure sensitivity.

Either way, with over 11,000 reviews, this drying lotion is well worth the test.
