If “Sex and The City” had a Gen-Z counterpart, it would be Netflix’s “Emily in Paris.” Set in the present, the show follows the life of 20-something social media marketer Emily Cooper, played by Lily Collins. Cooper gets a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to revitalize the social media channels for the Parisian luxury brands in her company’s portfolio. No biggie.

Plot aside, everyone is talking about the show because of Emily’s outfits, which are curated by costume designer Patricia Field (yes, the same Patricia Field who costume designed “Sexy and the City”).

Shortly after its Netflix premiere, searches for “Emily in Paris outfits” on Pinterest increased by 242 percent, according to Fashionista. The shopping platform Lyst also compiled an entire report dedicated to the “Emily in Paris” craze, noting that searches for “Kangol bucket hats” increased by 242 percent. Other popular inquiries? Searches for “red berets” rose 100 percent, “Aldo bag” searches were spiking 64 percent and Marc Jacobs’s Jelly Snapshot Camera Bag searches rose by 92 percent.

Essentially, people want to know what Emily is wearing and how they can look like her (even if her character is polarizing).

Here’s the good news: there are items you can add to your wardrobe right now to instantly channel your inner “Emily in Paris.” And no, it’s not all pricey Chanel, Off-White or Alice + Olivia. Instead, you can use shops like Etsy, Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack to pull off the look.

Here are six items that totally nail the “Emily in Paris” aesthetic. Whether for you or for a stylish person in your life attempting to channel their inner Gen-Z Instagram socialite, these pieces are “Emily in Paris” must-haves.
