Age: 20
Hometown: Riverside, California

Winter BreeAnne’s activism began at the age of 15 when she founded Black Is Lit, a social-first initiative aimed to increase Black representation that quickly expanded, taking her on a tour of elementary schools to stress the importance of voting. Two years later, she helped to organize the largest student anti-gun violence walkout, the National School Walkout, which involved nearly 3 million students nationwide protesting gun violence. Last year, she launched the Vote with Winter campaign to empower first-time voters ahead of the 2020 election. The Howard University student was named to Teen Vogue’s 21 under 21 list in 2018 and Seventeen named her one of their 2020 Voices of the Year.
