Celebrate the 4th of July with these bold red, white and blue snack boards

A festive 4th of July bash needs lots of red, white and blue refreshments. And what better way to keep your guests fed and entertained this Independence Day than with an epic snack board? While snack boards may look impressive, they’re actually super simple to throw together, making them perfect for large gatherings. From a colorful mélange of meats and cheeses to a collection of cookies and candy, here are five red, white and blue snack board recipes to celebrate this 4th of July.

1. 4th of July snack board with cheese, crackers, meat and berries

This beautiful snack board takes basic cheese and crackers to the next level. Begin arranging stacks of Gouda and pepper jack cheese around the platter. Next, place a few pepperoni roses around the cheese, followed by an array of crackers. Then tuck some prosciutto next to the pepperoni roses before filling in gaps on the platter with cinnamon almonds and grapes. Clusters of red, white and blue mixed berries along with blueberry yogurt-covered pretzels give this snack board a patriotic touch. Finally, a bowl of honey for dipping provides a nice finishing touch.

2. 4th of July snack board with fruit skewers and candy

Fruit skewers make an eye-catching addition to any celebratory snack board. For this 4th of July version, add mixed berries to a skewer and top with a star-shaped watermelon. Next, arrange the skewers on a circular platter along with mini powdered doughnuts. Then add a pile of dried cranberries next to the fruit skewers, followed by red, white and blue peanut M&M’s. Fill in any gaps with 4th of July-themed confections, Oreos and blueberry fruit leathers. Then dig in!

3. 4th of July breakfast snack board

Jumpstart your 4th of July with this breakfast snack board. Start by arranging a stack of waffles diagonally on a cutting board. Next, place a cluster of strawberries on top of the board over the waffles. Then add another handful of strawberries and blueberries to the board beneath the waffles, followed by a line of banana slices. Finally, place a small bowl filled with whipped cream for dipping on the corner of the board before serving.

4. 4th of July loaded snack board

Loaded is the key word for this 4th of July snack board. The packed platter is brimming with an assortment of gourmet meats, cheeses and crackers, while various nuts and fruits line the perimeter of the tray. For a festive finishing touch, top the snack board with red, white and blue M&M’s, popcorn and a series of novelty toys and firecrackers.
