5 homemade ice pop recipes

When it’s warm out, everyone is eager to take their outdoor hangout game to the next level. If you’re looking for the perfect, fun outdoor snack that’ll impress your family and friends, look no further than the humble ice pop. But we don’t mean the sugary options you find in your freezer aisle… we’re talking fresh homemade ice pops! Just make sure you have a mold and some wooden craft sticks, and you’re all set. Here are 5 delicious recipes to pop things off.

Vegan Wild Strawberry and Coconut Milk Pops

These fresh, fruity pops are vegan and gluten free, and they only have three ingredients! Blend together strawberries, agave syrup and coconut milk, pour the mixture in a mold, and freeze. The recipe calls for a dried rose petal garnish, which you can add if you’re feeling fancy.

Gluten-Free Blueberry Yogurt Swirl Pops

The key to achieving this pop’s signature swirl is not to overmix the greek yogurt and the blueberries. You want to see separate sections!  If done correctly, you’ll have a delicious, protein-packed pop that will definitely wow your friends and family.

Frozen Melon-Margarita Pops

The lone boozy option of the bunch, these fruit-shaped pops are perfect for a springtime outdoor happy hour. Plus, they don’t require any molds and are super easy to make. To make them, simply soak slices of melon in your favorite margarita recipe for 15 minutes, and throw it in the freezer for an hour. What you do with the extra margaritas is up to you.

Veggie-Packed Green Smoothie Pops

These green treats pack a full serving of veggies each, but they won’t taste overwhelmingly like vegetables. The recipe calls for plenty of spinach, but it masks the leafy flavor with ginger, banana, kiwi and honey.

Dairy-Free Dark Chocolate Fudgesicles

If fruity/veggie pops aren’t your speed, these dairy-free fudgy pops will definitely satisfy your sweet tooth. The pops get their creamy texture from coconut milk, but according to the recipe, any non-dairy milk would work just fine. Feel free to add some chocolate sprinkles for a fun twist on the modern classic.
