Yahoo Mail and Yahoo Shopping joined forces on Dec. 7 and 8 to present a pop-up shop that showcased all of the upgraded Yahoo Mail 6’s newest features.
The Upgrade Arcade pop-up was based at the Americana Mall in Glendale, Calif., and had special games set up in honor of the new updated Yahoo Mail 6. There was “Conquer the Chaos” where players had to quickly tap the correct light-up buttons in a certain time frame, to show how the new Yahoo Mail automatically organizes your inbox so you don’t feel overwhelmed checking it. “Simply Sorted” requires guests to drop a plinko disk down a vertical board and see what category the pegs sort it into at the bottom, which demonstrates how Yahoo Mail sorts your emails so you know when and where to find what email.
Those who participated in the games had a chance to visit the Winner’s Circle to win prizes. Yahoo Shopping partnered with brands like Laduree, Kiehl’s, Whole Foods, WinkyLux, Kosas and Casemate to provide cool prizes.
The updated Yahoo Mail app aims to serve as a new kind of personal assistant and make checking your email one less thing to worry about.
