Bike shorts are part of the ’90s fashion resurgence we’ve seen over the past year or so. You could say that Princess Diana walked so Kim Kardashian could run.

I’ll admit, however, I wasn’t the biggest fan when the stretchy shorts made a comeback. But then I realized something: They’re just cut-off leggings. So, consider me a subscriber to bike shorts! I’ve tried a few brands, cuts and styles, but the one pair that I’m stocking up on is from Alo.

The Alo High-Waist Biker Short in black have become my go-to pants for working from home, running errands and yes, actually working out. The shorts are made with Alo’s signature lifting and sculpting “Airbrush fabric” that’s moisture-wicking and very stretchy. The shorts hug my body perfectly — they’re not too tight but still have a little bit of compression. They don’t ride up like a few other bike shorts I’ve tried. And, they’re the perfect length for my 5-foot-2-inch frame.

Disclosure: I actually was given a pair of these shorts by the brand at a press event. I didn’t think much of it, but when I tried them on at home, I freaked out a little. They’re incredibly comfortable, and I love wearing them with a lightweight jacket or a sweatshirt. Since then, I’ve visited the Alo store in NYC to buy more in other colors. However, the plain black is still my favorite, and I’ve even started converting some of my friends.

You can get the Alo High-Waist Biker Short online in eight colors for $56 and experience the comfort yourself.

If you’re not familiar with the brand, Alo is known for its super soft workout wear, but it also has an online exercise platform called Alo Moves. There, you can find on-demand yoga classes, strength classes and more for only $20 a month. The good news is, you can get a FREE MONTH of Alo Moves with any purchase. So, if you decide to take my advice and get the brand’s biker shorts, you can also try its workouts for free.

I’ve tried a few of the classes, and let me just say, although some are quick, they are no joke. So, if you get the biker shorts (and I can’t recommend them enough), you can give them a spin in a quick workout class with Alo Moves from home. It’s a win-win situation, and one you won’t regret.
