In what may be the first-ever beauty product for wing lovers, Applebee’s and Winky Lux have collaborated on a line of sauce-inspired lip gloss.
It may seem like an unexpected pairing — a fast-casual chain known for its legendary lunch deals and a beauty brand known for its social media-famous products — but already, fans of both companies seem ridiculously excited about the crossover.
The limited-edition line, called Saucy Gloss, comes in four varieties: Be My Honey Pepper, Honey BBQ-T, Sweet Chile Kiss and Get Me Hot Buffalo. All four are modeled on a classic Applebee’s wing flavor.
While supplies last, fans can get the “four-piece combo” for $65.

Both companies announced the lip gloss on Friday, July 29, with a series of ads that instantly went viral. First, there was a commercial featuring a quartet of lip gloss-clad models — singing, dancing and inviting some very confused men to “taste my face.”
Then there was the photo. Applebee’s and Winky Lux both posted an image of the glosses perched atop a set of sauce-heavy wings. Instagram commenters had plenty to say about it.
“LOVE!” one user wrote.
“Groundbreaking,” another added.
“Stop! This is amazing,” another added.
Many commenters also wondered if the lip gloss literally tastes like wing sauce.
Winky Lux and Applebee’s have both been relatively cagey on that point, which means that the only way to find out is to give the line a try. That said, Winky Lux does promise that the Saucy Gloss will make your date much more likely to want to “taste your face.”
