From Tiger King to whipped coffee to TikTok dances, trends come and go. And the same is true when it comes to fashion. In 2020, loungewear and activewear moved to the forefront of our wardrobes, a fact likely unexpected at the same time last year.

In its annual trend report, ASOS explored how this year affected Gen Z and millennial shopping habits, analyzing what customers have been buying, scrolling and searching. Of course, it’s so surprise that workout leggings was the top success of 2020.

“As the gyms closed and the temperature rose, customers took their fitness outdoors, and ASOS became the go-to destination for all things activewear. The ASOS 4505 Icon leggings were a workout win, with 188,000 pairs sold over spring,” the reported states.
