If you’ve ever wanted to give audiobooks a try, now is a perfect time because Audible, Amazon’s audiobook platform, just debuted its cheapest membership option to date. For just $7.95 a month, you can now sign up for Audible Plus.
According to the service, Audible’s standard membership has been renamed Audible Premium Plus and still retails for $14.95 a month. With Audible Plus, users will get access to the Audible Plus catalog, which means “unlimited listening to select audiobooks, Audible Originals, podcasts, wellness programs and more” — and new titles are added to the catalog each week.
However, if you opt for Audible Premium Plus, you’ll get that same access to the Audible Plus catalog in addition to getting one “credit good for any title in our entire premium selection, yours to keep forever.” You’ll also get 30 percent off all extra premium titles you want and be able to take advantage of exclusive sales and deals.
But if you’re still torn between which membership plan is right for you, don’t worry. Both subscription options have free 30-day trials for new users, so you can start listening to whatever you like right now at no charge. And, as always, you can cancel your Audible subscription at any time if you change your mind.
