Mom ‘terrified’ after spotting suspicious figure in baby monitor footage

A woman spotted something unusual that left her “terrified” while watching her baby monitor footage.

TikTok user @honicanlaura shared a video of her young child lying down in her crib that appears to show someone moving past her, though the woman and her fiancé were both in another room at the time.

The mother explained in the post that her baby had only slept alone in her crib four times before, but after she put her down to nap, an unusual feeling prompted her to get the child.

Curious about the odd premonition, @honicanlaura scrolled back through the old baby monitor footage. Just before she went to pick the baby up, a figure could be seen moving past the crib.

The TikToker said she, her fiancé and her dog were nowhere near the crib, and they were the only living beings in the house. Or so they thought.

“We are completely freaked out,” the TikToker wrote.

Commenters suggested someone might be living in their attic and advised her to set up cameras everywhere.

“Looks like a person to me and not a spirit. Search every inch of your house,” one user commented.

“That just gave me the worst feeling in my whole body,” another said.

“That’s no ghost. That’s a literal man,” a third replied.

Additionally, @honicanlaura received many negative comments about the fact that she wrapped her baby in a blanket. She assured her audience that the baby only sleeps like that when she’s watching her.

In a follow-up video, the mother noted that she knows it wasn’t a member of her family in the footage because they can clearly be seen in the full cut of the video.

“We saw legs, or what looked like legs,” she explained. “Her window is locked and there’s no other entrance to that room.”

She said her fiancé “literally started shaking and crying” after seeing the footage, so they called a family member in law enforcement and he told them to “check the house.” That same family member later came over to guide them through a search of the attic.

“No signs of a squatter, but we did find an unopened can of food. That’s a little concerning for me,” @honicanlaura said. “We’re moving.”
