If your city has finally banned plastic bags (praise be!), get ready to horde any and all reusable bags you can find. New York City’s plastic bag ban took effect March 2, 2020, which means I’ve been using my favorite reusable Baggu bags for all my errands ever since, and I won’t use any other type of bag.

Reducing the amount of plastic consumption in the city and using a chic reusable bag at the same time? It’s really a win-win.

While the company Baggu first started in 2007, I’ve seen a recent uptick in everyone carrying around the brand’s best-selling bag: the Standard Baggu. What caught my eye about these bags the first time I saw them was the fact that they looked super lightweight but sturdy, which is key when you’ll be using them for hauling groceries.

Luckily right now in honor of Earth Day on April 22, you can score 25% off a selection of Baggu bags when you use the code EARTHDAY at checkout. And during the sale, 10 cents of every bag sold will be donated to the Surfrider Foundation.

My favorite part about the Baggu (other than all the stylish colors and patterns it comes in) is the fact that it folds up into a tiny pouch for easy storing. You can toss a Baggu into the pocket of any purse, backpack or suitcase and instantly have an extra bag with you in case you need to run errands after work or need an additional bag while traveling.

Baggu’s design was based on the construction of a plastic bag, so it’s not like you’ll even miss traditional plastic bags. Plus, its ripstop nylon material will guarantee that it will hold two to three times longer than a disposable grocery bag.

While the Standard Baggu is the most popular style because it’s just the right size to carry, Baggu has also carries a Baby Baggu and a Big Baggu for your baggage big and small.

And while you’re shopping for a new tote bag, don’t forget to peep Baggu’s selection of matching fabric face masks that are super comfortable.
