When people travel, they usually prepare for different food, weather and people. But what about the different styles of outlets?

If you’re a seasoned traveler, you probably know it’s important to have a universal adapter if you want to survive the trip with your personal devices fully charged.

For many Amazon shoppers, that adapter is the Mingtong Universal Travel Adapter.  And with more than 1,000 reviews, it’s the No. 1 bestselling power converter on Amazon.

The reason the device is so unique is that it has four international plug adapters that work for the U.S., Australia, the U.K. and most countries in Europe. In total, it can accommodate more than 150 countries, according to the product description.

Additionally, we love that it has two USB ports that you can use for some of your favorite Apple and Samsung products, including the iPad and Samsung Tab. Also, it has a “built-in fuse,” which cuts off whenever the current exceeds 6.3 amps to protect your device from potential damage.

While this device is convenient and handy for many of your personal electronics, the brand advises not to use this product for anything over 600 watts. Instead, it’s great for “small power electric appliances” such as a digital camera, wireless speaker, smartphone or tablet, according to the product description.

Things that require a lot of power — such as hair dryers, curling irons or electric kettles — are not recommended. Also, it’s important to note that this is an adapter only, not a voltage converter.

For many shoppers on Amazon, it’s a product that’s proven useful during their travel adventures. One buyer mentioned how it helped them with their trip to London.

“Worked great on my recent trip to London. It is lightweight and convenient to just pop out the plugs that you need. Then folds up and pops into your bag. I plugged a surge protector into it and then a laptop and other electronics with no problems.”

Another frequent traveler pointed out how convenient the device was to use.

“Love this universal adapter, and very easy to use!” They wrote. “I travel overseas quite [a] bit, having this one device can be used in different countries means I don’t have [to] think which adapter to bring. Especially having 2 USB ports makes even easier to charge cell phone and tablet at the same time.”
