These are the biggest TikTok creators of 2020, according to the app

Though 2020 has largely been a dumpster fire, video-sharing app TikTok has served as a welcome escape during this time, bringing us fun dance trends, silly viral videos and surprisingly useful life hacks.

Of course, the platform wouldn’t be what it is without its stars, many of whom have used their success on TikTok to break out into other industries and form their own empires. These influencers have captured the world’s attention — and they’re just getting started.

On Dec. 2, TikTok shared a list of the top creators on the platform as part of its year-end roundup. The list is comprised of “the creators in the U.S. who rose to be TikTok’s biggest breakout stars of the year, inspiring hundreds of millions of people to cook, dance, laugh, and wash their face.”
