BLK MKT Vintage shares one-of-a-kind vintage finds from the African diaspora

In The Know is proud to celebrate Pride Month. During this month, our team will highlight a wide range of LGBTQIA+ owned brands. We encourage you to support today and always.

BLK MKT Vintage highlights Black-owned businesses and brands through both brick-and-mortar and e-commerce shops. The Brooklyn-based concept shop specializes in both antique and vintage products found throughout the African diaspora. The brand has a treasure trove of one-of-a-kind items, from signed books to portraits.

Curated by founders Jannah Handy and Kiyanna Stewart, the collection includes various finds like vintage literature, vinyl records, clothing and art. While the shop in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn is temporarily closed, customers can scour the e-commerce shop to see what is available.

Additionally, the marketplace works with various stockists on inventory, including The Brooklyn Museum, The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture and Ethel’s Club.

If you want to get your hands on a piece of Black ethnography, check out the selections below and follow the brand on Instagram.
