Founder Robin, “Robbie” Williams knew she was scheduled to attend a bridal shower. What she didn’t know was that that event would be the basis for her inspiring brand. Williams intended to buy a bowtie from a store for the festivities, but when she took a closer look at the prices she decided otherwise.

“My best friend was getting married, and the theme for her bridal shower was ‘a bowtie affair,'” Williams tells In The Know. “I went shopping for one, and the ones that I found were either not my style, or very expensive.”
Running low on ideas, one of Williams’ designer friends convinced her to make her own bowtie. Using fabric scraps, Williams made her first bowtie. Even better? She ended up winning the contest at the bridal shower for best bowtie.

“I made it haphazardly with glue, and some hand sewing, and it was crazy looking, but people ended up liking it,” Williams explains.
And so, Bowtie Behavior was born. The brand includes several different bowtie patterns with both pre-tied and self-tied design options to help spruce up any outfit. With bowties starting as low as $15, you can find an array of standout pieces in the collection. Additionally, the brand carries a selection of pocket squares as well as suspenders. Essentially, Bowtie Behavior lets you dress up and down how you like.

“I feel like bowties shouldn’t be intimidating or only worn to like bowtie affairs or whatever,” Williams says. “It’s just an easy way to add something to your outfit and make it soar.”
