What is the Buss It Challenge? TikTok users are showing off how well they clean up

The Buss It Challenge celebrates people’s everyday glow-ups and it’s taking over TikTok

In fact, it has gotten so popular it has spread to other social platforms like Twitter and Instagram

So what is the Buss It Challenge?

The Buss It Challenge highlights ordinary transformations. Participants usually film themselves early in their primping processes with un-styled hair and clothing fit for lounging around the house.

When the beat drops in the video, the person switches into the “Buss It” pose, sporting a new glamorous outfit.

To create each video, TikTokers typically film two separate videos and stitch them together so it is timed perfectly with the music.

What songs are featured in the challenge?

The song “Buss It” by Erica Banks is integral to the challenge. Banks dropped the single on June 8, 2020 but it only recently gained attention on TikTok, likely due to the challenge.

The challenge features the part of the song that samples Nelly’s “Hot in Herre,” with the lyrics, “Checkin’ your reflection and tellin’ your best friend/Like, ‘Girl, I think my butt getting’ big.’”
