Everyone is always after that lit-from-within glow. You know the look when someone appears healthy and hydrated and somehow totally radiant? Yep, that’s the one.

While we can’t always get enough sleep and eat all the right things, some beauty products can help us get that elusive look anytime. Case in point: Charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood Flawless Filter.

This cult-favorite beauty item is described as “a complexion booster that blurs, smooths, and illuminates for a real-life filter effect.” You can wear it alone, underneath makeup or as a highlighter — really, anything goes. And after you blend it into your skin, you’re left looking like you have a soft-focus ring light following you around.

While Charlotte Tilbury’s formula really is fabulous (and has gone viral on pretty much every social platform), it also will set you back about $50 — if you can find it in stock.

Naturally, TikTok jumped on the case to find a similar product for a fraction of the price, and e.l.f.’s Halo Glow Liquid Filter seems to be the ultimate winner.

Priced at just $14 at Amazon, Target and Ulta, this “innovative, multi-purpose, liquid glow booster and skincare-makeup hybrid” is very similar to Charlotte Tilbury’s and has been declared a dupe by numerous creators on the app.

TikToker creator @sarah_wolak said she thinks the e.l.f. product is superior: “Don’t get me wrong, I think the Charlotte Tilbury one is beautiful, but I find that sometimes it can kind of make my pores stand out and gives [my face] texture that wasn’t there before, whereas the e.l.f. one does not do that.”

User @daus_mendoza compared the two formulas side by side and said, “To be honest, you can’t tell them apart; they look exactly the same.”

While there are some differences between the two — e.l.f.’s has a larger doe-foot applicator, and its tube offers .6 ounces more, and Charlotte Tilbury’s comes in a wider shade range — the formulas really do deliver a similar result.

Both products are vegan, cruelty-free and have plenty of glowing (pun intended) reviews to back them up. But if you’ve been looking for an affordable alternative, save yourself some money and add e.l.f.’s Halo Glow Liquid Filter to your online cart ASAP.
