A sitcom-like miscommunication convinced comedian Sally Brooks that she’d “never be funnier” than her son.
Sometimes, kids articulate the world from their more simplified point of view. While, at times, it makes children seem extra insightful, it can also lead to hilarious mix-ups like this. Brace yourself for some sophomoric humor!
The stand-up posted a brief exchange with her son that left TikTok in stitches. Brooks and her son were walking in the woods when he made a strange request. He picked something up from the ground and told Brooks exactly what to do with it.
Son: I want you to put this in my butthole.
Brooks: This rock?
Son: It’s not a rock. It’s a nut.
Brooks: You want me to put this nut … in your … what?
Son: In my butthole.
Brooks: You mean your back pocket?
Son: In my — in my back pocket.
“This was an especially hard pill to swallow as a standup comedian,” Brooks added in the caption.
The video racked up 14.5 million views and 1.8 million likes on TikTok.
“That’s a more logical name for it actually,” someone joked.
“Wasn’t sure where this was going. Love how kids are so logical and descriptive,” a TikToker replied.
“How did you even know? These are some super mom powers!” a user added.
“As a nurse I can tell you that request has brought many patients through the ER,” a person wrote.
“My daughter found a small rock in her ear from playing and said should I eat it or put it back in my ear? Why are those the only options?!” another said.
