TikToker reveals ‘mind-blowing’ life hack for keeping track of your AirPods

A TikTok user is blowing minds online after sharing how to physically attach AirPods to a MacBook.

It’s just the latest Apple-related tip to spread widely on the app. In the past, TikTokers have revealed tricks for “disguising” apps on an iPhone, making a homemade iPhone camera filter and “fine-tuning” the volume on a MacBook.

This new tip, which offers a way to “store” your Airpods on your computer, originally went viral thanks to CNN Underscored. However, the hack took off even more after comedian Gus Constantellis demonstrated it on the app.

Constantellis shared his totally dumbfounded reaction to the trick, which involves hanging your AirPods from the magnets at the top of your MacBook.

In the video, Constantellis takes out his AirPods and hangs them in the top right corner of his MacBook screen. This works because many MacBook models have magnets on them that help the computer stay closed tightly.

However, as the Apple hack points out, those magnets can also help you keep track of your Airpods when you’re not using them.

TikTok users had wide-ranging reactions to the trick, but many called it “mind-blowing.”

“Why doesn’t [Apple] tell us that?” one user wrote.

“Who else ran to get their MacBook and AirPods?” another asked.

Not all users were as impressed, though. Many were confused about how this “hack” is better than just keeping your AirPods in their case.

“Or just use their case,” one user wrote.

“I’ll stay with my case,” another added.
