If you’re looking for the perfect customizable appetizer that packs a lot of flavor into one bite, look no further than crostini. The traditional Italian antipasto consists of thin slices of lightly toasted bread, which you can top with an extensive assortment of delicious ingredients. Plus, they’re super simple to make, thanks to the many different varieties on TikTok. Here are five tasty crostini recipes for some bite-sized inspiration!
1. Fig and goat cheese crostini
This fig and goat cheese crostini has a tremendously tasty combination of flavors. Begin by spreading a layer of goat cheese on baguette slices toasted with butter. Next, top each baguette slice with a few fig slices. Finally, drizzle a bit of honey over the crostini slices, and top with a sprinkle of cracked pepper.
2. Vegan balsamic glazed butternut squash crostini
This crostini is total #squashgoals. For this recipe, start by spreading a layer of cashew cream — made from a blend of cashews, lemon juice, water, nutritional yeast, garlic and salt — on toasted baguette slices. Next, top with roasted butternut squash, a drizzle of balsamic glaze and pan-fried sage leaves.
3. Whipped ricotta crostini
This delicious crostini recipe is super easy to whip together. Start by making the whipped ricotta by adding ricotta cheese, herbs and olive oil to a food processor, and blend until smooth. Next, use a piping bag to distribute the whipped ricotta onto toasted baguette slices. Then top with pomegranate seeds, walnuts, chives and flaky salt before drizzling on some honey.
4. Grilled peach and prosciutto crostini
Leave your guests “s-peach-less” with this recipe. First, drizzle olive oil on top of baguette slices and toast until crispy. Next, top the baguette slices with prosciutto, followed by brown sugar-coated grilled peaches. Then add some freshly grated parmesan cheese, and finish with arugula and balsamic glaze.
5. Walnut butter crostini with brie, bacon and grapes
You’ll go nuts for this crostini recipe. Begin by spreading a layer of butter mixed with crushed walnuts, chives and lemon zest onto slices of ciabatta bread. Next, sprinkle more crushed walnuts on top before baking for 12 to 15 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Once they’re out of the oven, top each crostini with a slice of Brie cheese, followed by thinly sliced grapes, a drizzle of honey and crispy bacon bits. Throw those in the oven again for eight to 10 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Finally, garnish with black pepper, chives and microgreens.
