When it comes to taking care of my long hair, I typically enlist the help of a quality shampoo and conditioner, an in-shower hair mask, a moisturizing hair oil and a leave-in conditioner to keep my strands looking their best. As for styling my hair, there’s a whole slew of products I turn to to get my desired look — but Dae’s brand new three-in-one styling cream just replaced half of them.
The Cactus Fruit 3-in-1 Styling Cream is the latest launch from the 2-year-old brand founded by Amber Fillerup Clark. The desert-inspired brand is all about creating simple yet effective hair care and tossing complicated products to the wayside. So a multiuse product feels like a natural addition to Dae’s current lineup, which includes seven hero products as well as hair brushes, body mists and candles.
According to its product description, the cream is “a clean, multitasking formula that smooths styled hair, preps shiny blowouts and defines natural curls.” Safe for all hair types, this cream also works to fight frizz and add shine to your locks. So naturally, I jumped at the chance to test out the cream a few days before its March 15 launch.
Trust me when I say the cream not only works wonders but also smells incredible — it’s infused with dragon fruit, prickly pear seed oil and meadowfoam seed oil!
There are several ways to use the Cactus Fruit 3-in-1 Styling Cream on both damp and dry hair, so you really can’t mess it up.
Are you looking to master the”clean girl” hairstyles trending on TikTok? Pull your hair back how you like and slick it down with a little dollop of the cream. Unlike a hair gel, this cream won’t leave your hair crunchy or looking stiff. In fact, when the day ends and you’re ready to take out your slicked-back style, you’ll be able to brush through your hair with ease.
Curly girls will also love defining their curls with the cream. Apply it to wet or dry hair, style your curls as you wish and do not rinse.
Personally, I love using this cream to tame flyaways when I’m wearing my hair in a high ponytail. But I also have been reaching for the product after I blow dry, straighten or curl my hair. The cream makes my layered haircut pop and gives my ends that effortless piece-y look that I only seem to have after a trip to the salon.
Essentially, this do-it-all product has replaced my pre-blowout serum, hair spray, hair gel and previous finishing cream, and I’m still finding other ways to use it. Also, I appreciate that the cream’s price tag is $26, so you don’t have to pay the price of three hair products to add this cream to your routine. I have a feeling I’ll be restocking this product the minute I run out.
