Who is Def Noodles and why is he banned from Twitter?

A major gossip source has been permanently suspended from Twitter but no one knows why.

If you follow TikTok influencers, Gen Z celebs and unassuming paparazzi photos of stars doing ordinary things, you’ve probably come across a Def Noodles tweet. The popular celebrity news Twitter was mysteriously suspended from the platform and people want answers.

Who is Def Noodles?

Def Noodles is the online persona of Dennis Feitosa. Feitosa was born on March 10, 1995, and is currently 26 years old. He hails from New Jersey but resides in Los Angeles.

Feitosa is an actor, director, YouTuber and comedian. During the 2020 lockdown, he became more serious about his online persona Def Noodles. As Def Noodles he posts about celebrity news on Twitter and calls out influencers on his YouTube channel where he has 531,000 subscribers.

The comedian considers his work to be satirical commentary on the fan — or stan — culture surrounding celebrities. He claims his brand of celebrity news is a mix of The Soup and The Colbert Report

“They’re the most banal and irrelevant stories that anybody could be talking about,” Feitosa told Vulture. “You read the comments, and people are just taking stuff like ‘So-and-so had a cup of coffee today’ and going, ‘How!? Why would they ever do that?!?!?!?’ So I’m making fun of how these nonstories are presented and framed in this way that ends up generating all this outrage. At the end of the day, it’s a commentary on this independent social-media sphere that fuels so much of this outrage and backlash.”

Def Noodles got permanently suspended from Twitter

On July 13, Feitosa claimed (on a since-removed separate Twitter account) that the Def Noodles Twitter account had been permanently suspended.

“So Def Noodles just got suspended,” Feitosa said. “It’s unclear why I got suspended. I didn’t have any posts removed, no copyright violations, no warnings. I’ve been getting a lot of emails from Twitter tho telling me people have been reporting my account. I’m working on getting it back.”

Def Noodles had 158,000 Twitter followers at the time of the account’s suspension.

Feitosa addressed his suspension in a comedic YouTube vlog but provided little insight into what led to the ban. For those who still want Def Noodles celebrity updates, you can follow him on his Instagram which has 20,000 followers.

This isn’t the first time Def Noodles has been suspended

In August 2020, Feitosa’s account was suspended for violating unspecified rules. When he deleted a video of Charli D’Amelio using a vape his account suspension was lifted.

Why was Def Noodles permanently suspended from Twitter?

A Twitter spokesperson told Insider that the account was banned for “violating the platform’s rules.” However, they did not say which rule or specify which tweets got him into trouble.
