Dixie D’Amelio, the older sister of TikTok icon Charli D’Amelio, has quickly become a star in her own right — and now that she’s a household name, people can’t help but wonder: Who is Dixie D’Amelio dating?
The “Be Happy” singer has been linked to quite a few heartthrobs since becoming a massive social media personality. As part of the content creator collective Hype House, she was briefly linked with one of her fellow members before moving on to date some other equally popular and equally attractive TikTok personalities — and naturally, there was plenty of drama along the way.
So who exactly has Dixie D’Amelio dated in the past, and who is she dating now? Keep reading to learn more about the teen’s dating history, including which major TikTok star allegedly cheated on her several times.
May 2018-2019: Dixie D’Amelio and Matt Garavel
When Dixie D’Amelio was catapulted into the spotlight, she brought a piece of her hometown with her: her high school sweetheart, Matt Garavel. Garavel and D’Amelio attended King School in Stamford, Conn., together, where Garavel played football and basketball and D’Amelio ran track.
Garavel and D’Amelio started dating in May 2018. She made the relationship public when she wished her boyfriend a happy five-month anniversary on Oct. 29, 2018, writing, “Happy five lol!!! I love you best friend. Thank you for being you!”
During the course of their relationship, D’Amelio shared several photos of herself and Garavel on her Instagram going to prom, celebrating Easter together and just hanging out like a regular couple. On July 20, 2019, Garavel even dedicated a sweet post to his girlfriend for her birthday.
Garavel, who graduated from King School in 2019, was supposed to attend Pace University to play football, but for whatever reason ended up at the University of Tampa. D’Amelio and Garavel apparently tried to make the long-distance relationship work, but by the end of 2019, they had removed all traces of each other from their social media profiles. They have also since unfollowed each other on Instagram.
January 2020-February 2020: Dixie D’Amelio and Tayler Holder
In January 2020, rumors began circulating that Dixie D’Amelio was dating fellow TikTok star Tayler Holder after the Hype House members starting posting more content together cuddling and looking especially close.
Those rumors gained even more traction when Holder posted a cryptic photo of himself holding a mysterious girl’s hand on Instagram and tagged D’Amelio in it. She even left a comment — a simple heart emoji — on the photo, all but confirming that the hand was hers.
Things between D’Amelio and Holder were seemingly short-lived, though. D’Amelio stopped regularly appearing in Holder’s videos in mid-February of 2020 — and not long after, Dixie and her sister Charli D’Amelio left the Hype House to focus on their other endeavors.
Neither Holder nor D’Amelio ever confirmed the dating rumors.
February 2020-August 2020: Dixie D’Amelio and Griffin Johnson
Griffin Johnson and Dixie D’Amelio might not have dated for long, but their relationship was complicated and messy, to put it mildly.
Johnson and D’Amelio first met while filming the YouTube Brat TV series “Attaway General” about teenagers who volunteer at a hospital. The TikTok creators star as love interests Will and Georgia, and they even share an onscreen kiss at one point!
On March 4, the couple seemingly became Instagram official when Johnson posted some sweet pictures of the duo with a simple heart caption. Less than a week later, Johnson kept D’Amelio company while she healed from her wisdom teeth extraction.
Through the end of March, Johnson and D’Amelio were seemingly inseparable based on their TikToks and social media posts. However, due to the ongoing global pandemic, D’Amelio returned home to Connecticut for a few months while Johnson remained at the Sway House in L.A., and the couple wasn’t reunited until June.
“Is it weird dating somebody in the Sway House when you’re from the Hype House?” Smokes asked D’Amelio.
Originally, D’Amelio ignored the question about her relationship status and instead chose to focus on the fact that she was no longer part of the Hype House.
“Well, I’m no longer part of the Hype House, but we’re all friends,” she said.
Smokes didn’t relent, though. In response, he asked D’Amelio if it was weird when she was in the Hype House, to which she responded, “No, because I feel like I could bring both groups together.” As far as Grixie stans were concerned, this was all the confirmation they needed.
Johnson and D’Amelio once again confirmed their relationship in a TikTok on June 24. Hyper House member Thomas Petrou let it slip that the couple has “been [official] for a while” — so they decided to just go with it.
In July, things between Johnson and D’Amelio started to get really, really messy. In early July, amid his own drama with Dixie’s sister Charli, Hype House member Chase Hudson (aka Lil Huddy) accused Johnson of cheating on Dixie with two different women.
Though Johnson initially brushed off the allegations, fans started to speculate that there might be some truth behind Hudson’s claims when on July 30, D’Amelio unfollowed Griffin on both Instagram and Twitter. Around the same time, Johnson changed his Twitter header from a photo of him and D’Amelio to one of him and his friends.
On Aug. 2, D’Amelio confirmed the break-up when she uploaded a video to YouTube titled “My Last Date with Griffin.”
At the beginning of the video, she confirms that she is no longer with Johnson, saying, “Hey, so we actually broke up, but I had this video scheduled for today so I’m posting it anyways.”
Johnson was apologetic at first in light of the supposed evidence D’Amelio had against him — but that didn’t last long. On Sept. 20, he released a diss track titled “Convenient,” which literally starts with the line, “I’m not here to say I’m sorry.”
Well, D’Amelio didn’t stand for the slander. On Sept. 23, she took to TikTok to release the screenshots she teased earlier and savagely set her montage to Johnson’s diss track. Iconic.
September 2020-Present: Dixie D’Amelio and Noah Beck
In late August, people started to speculate that Dixie D’Amelio might have a new man in her life: TikTok star Noah Beck. On Aug. 30, the pair was caught getting cozy at a restaurant in L.A., though both D’Amelio and Beck have downplayed the rumors and claimed that they are just close friends.
Well, D’Amelio and Beck certainly painted a very different picture when D’Amelio posted a behind-the-scenes look at her new music video starring — you guessed it — Noah Beck.
In the video, Beck stars as D’Amelio’s love interest — and at one point, they even exchange a passionate kiss. When confronted by paparazzi, Beck claimed that the kiss was for a music video and nothing more.
Well, on Oct. 5, the TikTokRoom posted a video in which Beck seemingly confirms that he is dating D’Amelio.
In the video, Beck is asked — during an interview, it seems — who he is dating.
“Who is Noah Beck dating?” he repeats. “I am dating Dixie D’Amelio,” he reveals. “Dixie is amazing. She’s an awesome girl. It’s been really fun and so I’m excited for the future with her.”
Since then, D’Amelio and Beck have been going strong. They often appear in each other’s TikTok videos doing dances together and looking very happy. They even comment on each other’s posts, saying things like “I love you baby.” So cute!
