Woman ‘not happy’ after groomer gives her dog a drastic haircut

Taking your pet to get their haircut can be seriously nerve-racking. More than once, a dog has been left unrecognizable after what was supposed to be a trim.

TIkTok user @itsnattybabyyy posted footage of her pup post-cut, and the 7 million likes earned in just a few days suggest it’s a pretty dramatic transformation. See for yourself.

The owner first shared two photos of the dog before the haircut, looking fluffy and adorable, before dropping a video of his ultra-cropped look. His body hair is short, but there’s also a sort of bangs-like look up top.

“I’m not gonna name the place where he got his haircut from … not happy with it,” @itsnattybabyyy wrote on TikTok.

Commenters had a field day with the photos. Most compared his hair to the singer Sia’s signature wig.

“They did him so wrong,” one user said.

“I’ve been laughing for 10 minutes, gonna haunt all my nightmares,” another wrote.

As often happens with these sort of viral posts, an expert (in this case, a dog groomer) commented and said the dog looked matted before his haircut, which may have been the reason his hair had to be cropped so short.

“Would have caused him severe pain to brush out all the matting,” they wrote.

@itsnattybabyyy defended the pup’s “before” look.

“I just want to put this here, I do groom my dog … It’s so much work,” she wrote in the comments.

Regardless of the situation, no one shall be suffering for long — hair grows back, and dogs crawl around on the ground all day, so it’s not like they’re always glamorous.
