Television personality, model and recording artist Don Benjamin walked us through his early morning skincare routine.

The America’s Next Top Model alum and winner of VH1’s horror reality series Scared Famous is also a social media phenomenon with over 2 million Instagram followers. Benjamin’s five-step regimen is inspired by the seemingly ageless music producer Pharrell Williams.

“Pharrell recently put out his Humanrace Skincare line,” Benjamin told In The Know. “I’ve been using this now for the past couple of months and I’m going to walk you through what I do with it.”

Step 1: Exfoliate with Humanrace Lotus Enzyme Exfoliator

“This is going to break up the dead skin on your face. Loosen up any clogged pores that you have,” Benjamin said.

Before he applied the exfoliator he dampened his face with a warm washcloth. Then he gently rubbed two to three pumps of the Humanrace Lotus Enzyme Exfoliator onto his face. He wiped away any residue and dead skin with the washcloth.

Step 2: Cleanse with Humanrace Rice Powder Cleanser

The rice cleanser is a powder-to-foam. To activate it he added a bit of water and worked it into a lather in his hands. He massaged it into his skin for 20 to 30 seconds.

“Honestly, I didn’t really begin taking care of my skin until I got with my girlfriend,” Benjamin explained. “She had me do a face mask with her one night and I felt how good my face felt after doing this mask. I was like, ‘Baby, I need you to put me up on one of these routines.'”

Step 3: Moisturize with Humanrace Humidifying Cream

Benjamin patted the moisturizer, packed with snow mushroom and squalane oil, onto his skin

“This is going to help your skin from drying out,” he said.

Step 4: Apply ManFace AM SPF Moisturizer Serum

He applied two pumps of the ManFace serum under his eyes to brighten the area.

“It helps with the darkness under your eyes,” he explained. “With me and my schedule, I have a lot of late nights. They have a serum for men, it makes you look awake and alive.”

Step 5: Apply beard balm with NBI All Natural Beard Balm

Benjamin took a dab of NBI’s Beard Balm to tame his facial hair.

“Helps keep my beard nice and smooth. They use vitamin E in it, along with black castor oil,” he said. “It’s smooth and it smells really good.”
