Tips on how to use the infamous Dyson AirWrap are taking over TikTok

TikTok is obsessed with the Dyson AirWrap styler, a multi-use hair styling tool that doesn’t rely on extreme heat.

The device dries, smoothes, curls and waves multiple hair types. Instead of using heat, which can be damaging to hair, the Dyson AirWrap uses an aerodynamic principle called the Coanda effect. This enables the styler to “curve air to attract and wrap hair to the barrel,” according to Dyson. So hair is styled with air rather than heat.

The hair styler gets a lot of play on TikTok. The hashtag #dysonairwrap has 1.1 billion views. Some users have even dubbed it “the girl version of the PS5.”
