A family found a stranger’s phone at Walmart. Then they left the person a video message.
While shopping at the department store, a husband, wife and five of their children found a phone in the baby section. To provide the owner with some details, they decided to improvise. After recovering her phone, Michell DeMarcus posted the video on TikTok in hopes that the family would discover it.
The family gathered in one of the aisles and transformed into a choir.
“We found your phone! We found your phone!” the father sang into the camera. “He found your phone! He found your phone! And we found your phone!”
“In the baby section! In the baby section!” the mother harmonized.
While their three sons were happy to join the chorus, their two daughters could not bear the secondhand embarrassment. However, it did endear the family to DeMarcus and TikTok.
“To make things even better, they were right in front of me at checkout,” DeMarcus explained. “I didn’t see the video until I got home!”
The family in question, @blendedbugbys on TikTok, replied, “Bahahaha it was us! Hahahaha we had so much fun with us!!!” DeMarcus wrote back she was “so happy” the video found them.
The video racked up 1.1 million views on TikTok.
“I just know they drove away in the van and laughed about this the entire way home!” a person said.
“I would trust this family with my life,” someone wrote.
“The vibes are immaculate,” another commented.
