Shaped like a smiling, purple dragon, the limited-edition item was released at EPCOT earlier this month. According to Newsweek, parkgoers waited up to seven hours for the bucket. Food & Wine reported that some were reselling for as much as $1,500 on eBay.
In Jason’s now-viral video, he explains that he’s waited a full four hours to buy the Figment popcorn bucket. Due to demand, customers were only allowed to purchase two.
Jason then proceeds to take his second popcorn bucket to the very end of the line, where he finds an unsuspecting Disney fan and gives it to her.
“Oh my God, are you serious?” the fan asks.
Jason’s actions were immediately praised by TikTokers. His video has since drawn over 2 million views and nearly 5,000 comments, many of which call his actions “sweet” and “amazing.”
“I love this!” one user wrote.
“You made me cry,” another added.
“You are a legend, man!” another wrote. “That was an awesome thing to do even if I don’t understand the madness.”
For interested Disney fans, the Figment popcorn bucket is part of EPCOT’s International Festival of the Arts, which runs until Feb. 21. Disney teased the bucket on TikTok just a few days before the festival began.
It’s unclear if the hype will remain until the festival ends, but if it does, Disney fans better hope Jason is there to give out more gifts.
