There’s nothing cozier than sitting by a warm fire and listening to it crackle as you curl up on the couch with a plush blanket. However, cleaning and tending to a fireplace takes a lot of work. And if you live in an apartment, you probably don’t even have one. Alas, there’s another way to enjoy a fire a home.
FLÎKR’s Personal Concrete Fireplace is a mini tabletop fireplace that uses rubbing alcohol as fuel. It’s safe for indoor use and looks like a chic piece of decor.
To use, pour in a little bit of rubbing alcohol, light a match and set it aflame. Five ounces of rubbing alcohol will give you about 50 minutes of burn time.
By using rubbing alcohol, the fire won’t smoke, smell or dirty your ceiling. It only creates soot where the flame touches, which is inside the concrete base. However, soot appears when there’s a lack of oxygen. So, if you do notice more soot, try cracking open a window.
“FLÎKR Fire was born out of the desire for a simple, safe, indoor fireplace that could operate on clean-burning, inexpensive, and readily available fuel,” its website reads.
“We absolutely love this. It’s super easy to use, and gives just the nicest ambiance to the room,” wrote on Amazon reviewer. “I often light it when the room is a little chilly and I’m surprised how much I can feel the warmth. Even after the fire is out, the concrete stays warm and radiates a bit. Everyone who sees this also wants one, just a great purchase.”
“The fire is a nice one and bigger than I thought,” wrote one another. “It is a perfect center piece. I have even brought it to family’s house to use and everyone loves it. Everyone wanted one!”
Get it on Amazon for $99.95 and create the ultimate cozy corner in any room in your home.
