Like exercise for humans, walks and daily playtime are important for your dog. Playing with toys can give your dog a healthy dose of physical activity, but it can also help their mental health, improve their social skills and give them a chance to bond with you. All good things!

With that said, if you want to treat your furry friend to an extra-special toy, make it the Flopping Fish that’s gone viral on TikTok. People discovered the Potaroma Electric Flopping Fish this year, and many have shared adorable videos of their dogs leaping, pouncing and running with it.

Funny enough, it’s actually meant to be a cat toy, but small to medium dogs especially love it. The plush fish comes with a rechargeable electric tail insert that flops like a fresh catch. Simply unzip the belly, insert the motor, flip the on switch and tap the belly to make it flop. When playtime is over, you can remove the electric insert to charge it and wash the soft cover.

If you’re getting the Flopping Fish for your cat, there’s also a catnip pouch included.

The toy comes in four different fish varieties on Amazon for $16.99. Get your pet a carp, clownfish, rainbow trout or red carp. More than 13,000 Amazon shoppers give it a 5-star rating, but many note that the toy is best for cats and small dogs.

If you have a larger dog who tends to rip plush toys apart, the Flopping Fish may not be for them. But for gentle players and smaller dogs, it’s a great toy for keeping your pet active, engaged and happy. Of course, if TikTok is any indication, you’ll enjoy watching them play with it as well.
