Friends see each other in their prom dresses for the first time, and record their reactions: ‘i love feminine love and friendships’

With prom just around the corner, TikTok is becoming increasingly saturated with all things related to the American right of passage. One girl recently shared an endearing video of her and her friends seeing each other’s dresses for the first time.

High school senior Peyton Lawson (@peyton.lawsonn) shared the video, which has more than 26.3 million views and 6.7 million likes in just one day of posting.

“seeing each other in our prom dresses for the first time <3,” she writes.

The wholesome 47-second video, set to “Until I Found You” by Stephen Sanchez featuring Em Beihold, captures the moment each girl walks out of the bathroom to debut their chosen gown. With each reveal, the girl’s friends energetically praise and hype her up.

“i love feminine love and friendships. you guys are beautiful”

With over 44,500 comments, it’s clear that other TikTok users have fallen in love with this supportive friend group. Many of the comments pay particular attention to just how elated these girls are for one another.

“the girl in the dress is so pretty,” someone joked, referencing all the girls featured in the video.

“favorite video i’ve seen today, this is beyond sweet,” one user replied.

“y’all hyping eachother up is the sweetest thing,” another wrote.

“Everyone’s dress makes sense, I feel like each of them rly got to wear their personality,” a TikToker commented.

With the big event just around the corner, there’s no shortage of prom-related content on TikTok. What makes this video stand out, in particular, is its clear depiction of what healthy and uplifting female friendships look like. In just 47 seconds, these girls show their unyielding support for one another, which in high school, can sometimes be a rarity.
