During the summer, I like to keep my outfits and accessories pretty simple — a t-shirt, denim shorts and my favorite sunglasses have practically turned into my uniform at this point. But this year, I am stocking up on an accessory that I hadn’t given much thought to since my summer camp days as a kid: friendship bracelets.

While these bracelets may make you think of the string version you used to braid with friends at sleepovers, 2020 has given this throwback accessory a major upgrade and has turned these bracelets into real jewelry.

From rainbow styles that can add a pop of color to gold pieces that can be perfectly paired with fine jewelry, these bracelets were made to be stacked, so styling them is effortless. In fact, I think the more the merrier when it comes to this trend! Whether you opt for an all-beaded stack, want to add a metallic piece or toss a woven option into the mix, you can’t go wrong.

Two brands that are particularly dominating this trend would have to be BaubleBar and Roxanne Assoulin. BaubleBar is known for its budget-friendly jewelry pieces and phone cases with products starting at just $6. The brand also has a massive selection of bracelets including several options that you can customize. And how cute is this glass bead chevron bracelet that you can add your name — or your best friend’s — to?

At a slightly higher price point, you may recognize Roxanne Assoulin’s pieces from social media, as the candy-colored bracelets seem to be a part of every It-Girl’s outfit these days. The brand’s slogan is “an uncomplicated indulgence” and everyone from Gigi Hadid, Mandy Moore and “Queer Eye’s” Antoni Porowski seem to be fans of the brand.

Luckily, this is one trend that’s easy to get your hands on, and you can start rocking right away. Keep scrolling to shop 9 more of our favorite bracelets between $18 and $210 below. If you really want to splurge, Christian Dior even sells a woven bracelet set.
