Banana ice cream, also known as banana “nice” cream, is a vegan ice cream alternative you can easily make at home. While this healthy, dairy-free dessert may have started as a vegan option, it’s been gaining traction with people of all dietary lifestyles thanks to the variety of banana nice cream desserts on TikTok. If you’re looking for a healthy dessert that tastes great, here are five seriously “a-peeling” banana nice cream recipes that transform bananas into ice cream. 

1. Dairy-free peanut butter cup banana nice cream bites

You’ll go bananas for these peanut butter cup banana nice cream bites. Begin by combining almond flour, peanut butter, maple syrup, vanilla extract, sea salt and chocolate in a food processor. Next, transfer the dough onto a cutting board, and knead it into a ball. Then add the dough to each compartment in a silicone mold followed by a frozen banana slice. Top the banana with more dough. Then freeze for 30 minutes to an hour. Remove the mold from the freezer, and coat each banana bite in chocolate before placing them on a baking sheet. Top the chocolate-covered banana bites with a pinch of flaky salt, and let them harden before serving. 

2. Dairy-free waffle banana nice cream sandwich

This recipe puts a whole new spin on a classic ice cream sandwich. First, blend frozen bananas with almond milk. Next, transfer the mix to a baking dish and freeze for three hours. Then, combine almond flour, monk fruit sugar, baking powder, protein powder and an egg in a bowl. Pour the batter into a waffle maker. Finally, sandwich a scoop of the banana nice cream between two waffles, and top with an assortment of berries.  

3. Cookies and cream banana yogurt milkshake

Get ready to “crumble” with this easy cookies and cream banana nice cream milkshake. Begin by combining frozen bananas, Greek yogurt, cookies and cream protein powder, cocoa powder, ice and water in a blender. Next, pour the mix into a glass, and top with whipped cream and Oreo bits before serving. Who knew so much magic could happen in a blender?

4. Dairy-free copycat Snickers banana nice cream Frosty

This copycat Frosty is as tasty as the real deal. Start by adding frozen bananas, full-fat coconut milk and chocolate protein powder to a blender. Next, pour the mix into a glass with a layer of peanut butter at the bottom. Finally, drizzle some chocolate on top, and let it harden before serving.
